SENSITIVE AND DRY SKIN BENEFIT FROM CLEANSING MILK

Cleansing milk is particularly suitable for sensitive and dry skin types. The rich texture cleanses gently and does not dry out the skin. In contrast to cleansing gel or foam, milk does not leave you feeling tight, but rather leaves your skin feeling relaxed and comfortable. Cleansing milk will emulsify so that the foaming texture combines with the dirt particles during cleaning. These cleansers usually do not contain moisturizing ingredients and pamper the skin with soothing moisture.

Application tips for thorough cleaning with milk

  1. Apply a small amount of cleansing milk to a cotton pad or fingers.
  2. Important: massage the fine cleansing milk for approx. 10 to 20 seconds to allow the milk to combine with the dirt particles.
  3. After a short exposure time, remove the cleansing milk with a cotton pad.

Combined products that are suitable for both facial cleansing and eye make-up removal should be tested first. Not all skin types tolerate the combination of cleansing milk and eye make-up remover. If in doubt, always use two different products and use them separately.

FOR OILY SKIN, COMBINATION SKIN AND MEN'S SKIN: CLEANSING GEL OR FOAM

Cleansing gel or foam is a good choice if you struggle with oily skin. The products are often oil-free and leave the skin feeling very clean after cleansing. Men also like to use these cleaning products because they are easy to wash off. Cleansing gels that are not oil-free are suitable for combination skin, as they loosen small blackheads during cleansing and make the pores look finer and clearer.

Usage tips for cleaning gel

  1. Put a little cleansing gel on the palms of your hands and spread it over your face with wet fingers.
  2. Then gently massage the gel into your face.
  3. The cleaning gel can then be washed off thoroughly with water.
  4. To remove eye makeup, you should combine an additional product.

Usage tips for cleaning foam

  1. Spread some cleansing foam on your fingers
  2. Massage the foam into your face.
  3. The foam is then washed off with plenty of water or, if necessary, with a damp cosmetic sponge.

Cleansing foam is the easiest and fastest application. We often recommend these cleansers for cosmetics beginners as the products are suitable for almost all skin types. This excludes skin that is very dry or in need of regeneration.

TONIC AS A SUPPLEMENT TO CLEANING

Cleansing your face is an important step in your daily care routine. However, despite cleaning, limescale residues from our water or heavy metals sometimes remain on the skin.
A tonic is an ideal addition to the daily cleaning routine. It not only absorbs the last particles of dirt, but also restores the skin's balance, which was disturbed by the different pH value of water. For this reason, a harmonious cleaning concept also includes a tonic.

Tonic: recommendations from our beautician

  • Atamé Skin Care Tonic Special: invigorates, cleanses and smoothes the skin with a fresh herbal scent. Particularly recommended for impure and oily skin.
  • EXPERTsLINE AHA Tonic: cleansing, clarifying and invigorating. Recommended if you have a tendency to pigment spots and impurities.
  • Thalgo Sea Water Tonic: brings even sensitive skin back into balance and is the optimal finish for facial cleansing.

CLEANSER, EYE MAKEUP REMOVER & TONIC: MICELLAR WATER IS AN ALL-ROUNDER

Micellar water works like a magnet: it literally attracts dirt and can also thoroughly remove eye make-up. It enhances every cleansing process and is particularly suitable as an additive for very sensitive skin. A recommended product, for example, is the 3-in-1 cleansing lotion with micellar technology from Thalgo. It removes make-up and dirt particles gently and thoroughly and also moisturizes.

OUR BEAUTYIST ADVICE:

“I recommend micellar water to my customers as a great travel companion because it covers all three cleansing components. Cleansing, eye make-up remover and tonic. But for long-term care, I recommend individual products that are specialized in the area of application. For example, eye make-up remover is only used in the eye area and not on the entire face. Micellar water is ideal when things have to be done quickly and you can't carry out the entire cleansing ritual.“
