DAS RICHTIGE PEELING FÜR JEDEN HAUTTYP

THE RIGHT PEELING FOR EVERY SKIN TYPE

The skin is our largest (sensory organ. It constantly regenerates itself, forms new cells and rejects old ones. This process slows down over time - but with a peeling you can gently give the regeneration process a boost! Find out about the different peeling methods and effects and find out which peeling is best for your skin type.

What is a peeling?

A peeling removes dead skin cells from the skin. These lie as tiny, detached horny scales on the surface of the skin. They can make the complexion appear tired and dull and can even promote blemishes or irritation of the skin. With a peeling, the skin is gently cleansed, refreshed and optimally prepared for subsequent care products. Care ingredients are absorbed much better by peeled skin.

How does a peeling work?

During a peeling, the top, loose layer of dead skin cells is removed using various methods of action. If a peeling is used regularly, the complexion becomes noticeably and visibly refined: a pale complexion and impurities that can arise from dead skin cells are prevented. If you exfoliate regularly, you will be rewarded with a fresh, radiant appearance and a natural glow for your skin.

However, not all peelings are the same and not every peeling is suitable for every skin type.

What types of peeling are there and how they work

There are different types of peeling that have different effects and therefore take into account the requirements of different skin types.

  • Granulate peeling – The finest abrasive particles in the peeling remove dead skin cells from the skin surface through mechanical friction
  • Enzyme peeling – An enzyme complex specially tailored to different skin needs gently removes the top, dead stratum corneum of the skin
  • Fruit acid peeling – Dead skin cells are removed by so-called alpha-hydroxy acids (e.g.b Glycolic acid, lactic or citric acid) is dissolved and the skin's cell renewal is stimulated

Which peeling is suitable for which skin type?

Peelings for sensitive skin

Sensitive skin can also be exfoliated, but you should be careful not to put unnecessary strain on your skin with products that are too aggressive. A gentle granulate peeling or an enzyme peeling are ideal as they very gently remove the top layer of skin. After the peeling, a care cream tailored to the needs of sensitive skin comes in handy, which moisturizes and soothes your skin.

Peels for dry skin

A granulate or enzyme peeling is particularly recommended for exfoliating dry skin, as a fruit acid peeling could dry out the skin unnecessarily. After the peeling, a rich care cream gives dry skin everything it needs to look radiantly fresh.

Peels for tired skin

Tired skin is relieved by a fruit acid peeling, e.g.b by Dr. Dennis Gross, visibly refreshed and gaining new radiance. A rich day cream optimally supplies the skin with missing nutrients after the peeling. Creams enriched with a vitamin C complex are particularly effective in helping tired skin repair damage that can be caused by environmental pollution or stress.

Peels for oily skin

Oily skin can really breathe a sigh of relief with a fruit acid peeling, because it removes dead skin cells and makes the skin particularly receptive to subsequent products. For small inflammations, an enzyme peeling is the gentler choice because it removes dead skin cells without further stressing the already irritated skin. A day cream for oily skin helps to normalize sebum production after the peeling.

Why it makes sense to use a peeling regularly

With regular use of a peeling tailored to your skin type, the pores become smaller, wrinkles are reduced and the complexion appears more even. Free your skin from environmental pollution and natural metabolic products and let it shine by making peeling part of your regular care routine.
